News & Events

Frenchtown Presbyterian is a faith community that gathers around Word and Sacrament to be nourished, called, and sent into God’s world in witness and service to others in the name of Jesus Christ. All are welcome! We are a body of believers in Jesus Christ the Lord that strives to be a living reflection of God’s love. We come together to confirm our individual faith while spreading the message of hope and love by serving those in need through mission and outreach.

Our mission statement shows a rhythm of being called together by God for worship and growth and being sent out to serve in Jesus’ name. Sunday morning is a key gathering time for strengthening the Body of Jesus Christ. The rest of the day and into the week provide opportunities for living out our faith. Ministries described on this web site are avenues of nurture and commitment.

Our Values

Our Ministries

Music Ministry

Our adult choir sings weekly at the 9:30 am service. We rehearse on Thursday evenings at 7 pm and all voices, trained and untrained, are welcome. We have a lot of fun while working hard to prepare music for the worship of God. We are ably led by Music Director/Pianist/Organist Hugh Sung.

There is also a Praise Band that rehearses throughout the year and prepares a more contemporary style of music for worship. Contact Hugh for more information at hughsung@gmail.com

Presbyterian Women

The Presbyterian Women’s Group, led by Gayla Gerhardt, meets throughout the year and engages the church in events that raise money for mission and ministry, both locally and around the world. They also get together socially and for prayer.

Al-Anon

Frenchtown Presbyterian Church hosts a series of Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) programs each week, reflecting its deep commitment to supporting individuals in their journey toward recovery and sobriety. These meetings provide a safe, confidential, and welcoming space for people struggling with alcohol addiction to share their experiences, strengths, and hopes with others facing similar challenges. The church’s dedication to offering these services highlights its broader mission to serve the community's well-being and health. By facilitating these AA programs, Frenchtown Presbyterian Church underscores its commitment to fostering an environment of healing, support, and compassion, making a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and their families affected by addiction. This initiative is part of the church's ongoing efforts to address and support mental health and addiction recovery, underscoring its role as a pillar of hope and support in the community.
